Bring your own shade this summer with sun smart clothing!
Did you know that New Zealand has one of the highest rates of melanoma in the world? Although it is the least common form of skin cancer, it is by far the most dangerous.
Through a regular check up Irene Walshe, owner and operator of Gardens by Design was lucky enough to have had a Melanoma detected and removed. She has been experimenting with and making sun protective clothing ever since.
The idea of the Sunsmart clothing brand is to provide New Zealanders with cool and comfortable clothing that keeps them well covered whilst in the sun - Feel smart and summery, and enjoy the summer time again!
Below are the sample products for the beach wear named Eclipse.
Colours and materials will change and include plain and subtle product for town and country. Examples of current stock can be emailed.
